Snow Season 2015

The snow season has finally arrived, well kind of, and opening weekend has already come and gone here in Australia. It’s about time to get our skis and snowboards out, start sharpening the edges, give them a wax, visit your local snow shop for the best deal on snow gear you can find and put your roof racks on your car for the season (We really hope for some more snow though!) . We wait about 9 months each year (unless you’re lucky enough to travel up to the Northern Hemisphere for their Winter) and then when opening weekend comes it can be disappointing and it can be great. Cheers to Mountainwatch for the info on the current snow levels http://www.mountainwatch.com/
So we got the chance to go snowboarding in some resorts across Australia with the mountains in New Zealand opening in the coming weeks. With not much snow around at the moment it looks like a trip to New Zealand might be your best bet this year with more snow predicted to fall in the near future in New Zealand and not much snow coming for Australia. We must give props to all the people that have worked hard to get our mountains ready and open again, especially the snow making teams who have been working hard to make some snow in the freezing conditions they require.
Let’s hope a lot more snow falls soon and we can get out there and hit the slopes in 2015.
Get Cozy
